• Location (GPS) for nearby search and delivery
• Device information (platform, model, browser)
• FCM token for push notifications
• Order history and preferences

2. How We Use Data

• To provide and improve the platform
• To connect buyers with sellers/partners
• To send order-related notifications
• To calculate nearby search results (lat/lng Float fields)
• To prevent fraud and abuse

3. Data Sharing

We share necessary information with partners for order fulfillment (name, phone, delivery address). We do NOT sell personal data or share with third parties for marketing.

Third-party services we use:

• Cloudflare — CDN, image hosting (R2), DNS
• Firebase (Google) — push notifications (FCM)
• PostHog — error tracking and analytics
• Ollama — AI processing (runs locally on our servers)

These services process data on our behalf and are bound by contractual obligations to protect your information.

4. Data Retention

• Active accounts: Data retained as long as your account is active
• Deleted accounts: Personal data deleted within 30 days of account deletion request
• Order records: Retained for 6 years as required by Pakistani tax law (FBR)
• Chat messages: Retained for 90 days after the last message, then deleted
• Analytics data: Anonymized after 12 months

5. Data Security

• All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS
• Data stored on secure VPS in Pakistan
• Images stored on Cloudflare R2 (global CDN)
• Authentication via HTTP-only secure cookies
• Regular security monitoring and updates

6. Children's Privacy

GharSe is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

7. Your Rights

• You can request data deletion by emailing [email protected]
• You can update your profile anytime
• You can opt out of non-essential notifications
• You can request a copy of your data
• Response time for data requests: within 7 business days

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing Law

This privacy policy is governed by the laws of Pakistan. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Sargodha, Punjab, Pakistan.
