Rider Policy

1. Introduction
This Rider Policy (the "Policy") governs the relationship between Ghar Se Technologies ("Ghar Se," "we," "us," or "our") and all delivery riders (collectively, "Riders") who provide delivery services through the Ghar Se platform. Riders are independent contractors and not employees of Ghar Se. By registering and accepting delivery requests through the platform, Riders agree to comply with all terms of this Policy.
2. Rider Eligibility
To be eligible to register as a Rider on the Ghar Se platform, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Hold a valid motorcycle or driving license issued by the relevant Pakistani authority (e.g., Lahore Traffic Police, Islamabad Traffic Police, etc.).
- Possess a valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC).
- Own or have lawful access to a registered motorcycle, scooter, or bicycle in good working condition (vehicle type depends on the delivery service category).
- Provide a verified phone number and bank account for payment settlements.
- Complete the KYC verification process, including document submission and in-person verification if required.
- Have no criminal record related to theft, violence, or fraud.
- Pass a background check conducted by Ghar Se or its authorized partner.
3. Delivery Standards and Timelines
3.1 Acceptance of Requests
- Riders are free to accept or decline any delivery request. No penalty applies for declining requests.
- Once a delivery request is accepted, the Rider is obligated to complete the delivery in a timely and professional manner.
- Riders must not accept requests they cannot fulfill within the estimated delivery time.
3.2 Delivery Timelines
- Riders must pick up orders from the merchant within 10 minutes of arrival at the pickup location.
- Delivery must be completed within the estimated time displayed on the platform.
- In case of unavoidable delays (traffic, weather, etc.), Riders must inform the customer through the app and update the estimated delivery time.
- Repeated late deliveries may result in reduced delivery assignments or account suspension.
3.3 Order Handling
- Riders must handle all orders with care to prevent damage, spillage, or contamination.
- Food orders must be transported in thermal bags provided or approved by Ghar Se to maintain temperature and hygiene.
- Riders must verify the order details before leaving the pickup location.
- Riders must not open, tamper with, or consume any part of the delivery order.
4. Earnings and Payout Structure
4.1 Earnings
- Riders earn a delivery fee for each completed delivery. The fee is calculated based on distance, time, and demand, as displayed in the app before acceptance.
- Additional incentives, bonuses, or surge pricing may apply during peak hours or special promotions.
- Tips from customers are retained entirely by the Rider.
4.2 Payout Schedule
- Weekly Payouts: Earnings are settled on a weekly basis. The payout cycle runs from Monday to Sunday, with payments processed on the following Wednesday.
- Minimum Payout: The minimum payout amount is Rs. 500. Earnings below this threshold are carried forward to the next cycle.
- Payment Method: Payouts are made via bank transfer to the Rider's registered bank account.
- Transaction Fees: Any bank transfer charges may be deducted from the payout amount.
Note: Riders are independent contractors and are responsible for their own tax declarations and filings in accordance with Pakistani tax laws. Ghar Se may deduct applicable withholding tax at source where required by law.
5. Code of Conduct
Riders must adhere to the following code of conduct at all times:
- Treat customers, merchants, and fellow Riders with respect and professionalism.
- Wear the Ghar Se Rider uniform or branded apparel as provided or specified.
- Maintain personal hygiene and present a neat appearance.
- Do not use foul language, engage in arguments, or behave aggressively towards anyone.
- Do not consume alcohol, drugs, or any intoxicating substances while on duty.
- Do not smoke or vape while on a delivery or while visible in the Ghar Se uniform.
- Do not solicit customers for private delivery arrangements outside the platform.
- Do not share customer or merchant personal information with third parties.
- Comply with all traffic laws and regulations at all times.
6. Insurance and Liability
6.1 Insurance Coverage
- Ghar Se provides accidental insurance coverage for active Riders during the course of a delivery. Coverage details are provided to Riders upon registration.
- Riders are encouraged to obtain their own comprehensive insurance for their vehicle.
6.2 Liability
- Riders are liable for any loss, damage, or theft of the delivery order while in their possession, up to the value of the order.
- Riders are responsible for any traffic violations, fines, or penalties incurred during deliveries.
- Ghar Se is not liable for any injuries, damages, or losses suffered by Riders in the course of their deliveries, except as covered by the provided insurance.
7. Account Suspension
Ghar Se reserves the right to suspend or terminate a Rider's account for the following violations:
- Failure to maintain valid documents (license, CNIC, vehicle registration).
- Repeated customer complaints regarding late delivery, rude behavior, or mishandling of orders.
- Fraudulent activity, including fake deliveries, collusion with merchants, or manipulation of the app.
- Violation of the code of conduct.
- Use of an unregistered or unsafe vehicle.
- Criminal activity or conviction.
- Sharing account credentials with another person.
- Any other conduct that Ghar Se deems detrimental to the platform or its users.
Suspended Riders may appeal the decision by contacting Rider support within 7 days of suspension.
8. Safety Guidelines
- Always wear a helmet and appropriate safety gear while riding.
- Obey all traffic signals, signs, and speed limits.
- Do not use mobile phones while riding. Pull over safely if you need to use your phone.
- Ensure your vehicle is in good working condition, with functioning brakes, lights, and tires.
- Stay hydrated and take breaks as needed to avoid fatigue.
- Park your vehicle safely and legally during pickups and deliveries.
- Be aware of your surroundings, especially in unfamiliar areas.
- In case of an accident, seek medical help immediately and report the incident to Ghar Se support.
- Do not carry passengers or additional items that are not part of the delivery.
9. Modifications
Ghar Se reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time. Riders will be notified of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified policy.
