Driver Policy

1. Introduction
This Driver Policy (the "Policy") governs the relationship between Ghar Se Technologies ("Ghar Se," "we," "us," or "our") and all drivers (collectively, "Drivers") who provide ride-hailing and transportation services through the Ghar Se platform. Drivers are independent contractors and not employees of Ghar Se. By registering and accepting ride requests through the platform, Drivers agree to comply with all terms of this Policy.
2. Driver Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible to register as a Driver on the Ghar Se platform, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Hold a valid driving license issued by a relevant Pakistani authority (e.g., Provincial Driving License).
- Possess a valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC).
- Have a clean driving record with no major traffic violations in the past 3 years.
- Have no criminal record related to theft, violence, fraud, or sexual offenses.
- Provide a verified phone number, email address, and bank account for payment settlements.
- Complete the KYC verification process, including document submission, background check, and in-person verification if required.
- Be physically and mentally fit to operate a motor vehicle for extended periods.
- Not have been previously suspended or terminated from Ghar Se or any similar ride-hailing platform for cause.
3. Vehicle Requirements
All vehicles used to provide ride-hailing services through Ghar Se must meet the following requirements:
- Model Year: The vehicle must be 2010 model or newer. Older vehicles may be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on condition and market demand.
- Registration: The vehicle must be validly registered with the relevant Pakistani excise and taxation authority.
- Insurance: The vehicle must have valid third-party liability insurance at minimum. Comprehensive insurance is strongly recommended.
- Condition: The vehicle must be in excellent mechanical condition, clean, and well-maintained both inside and out.
- Air Conditioning: Functional air conditioning is mandatory.
- Safety Features: Functional seat belts for all seats, working headlights, taillights, turn signals, and brakes.
- No Cosmetic Damage: The vehicle must be free of major dents, scratches, or other cosmetic damage.
- Inspection: Ghar Se reserves the right to inspect any vehicle before approving the driver and periodically thereafter.
Note: Drivers found using a vehicle that does not meet the above requirements may have their account suspended until the issue is resolved. Repeat violations will result in permanent account termination.
4. Fare Structure and Commission
4.1 Fare Calculation
- Fares are calculated based on a base fare plus distance and time components, as defined in the Ghar Se pricing algorithm.
- Current standard rates: Base Fare Rs. 50, Rs. 25 per km (Standard), Rs. 37.5 per km (Premium).
- Fares displayed to passengers are inclusive of applicable taxes.
- Surge pricing may apply during periods of high demand. Drivers receive the same commission percentage on surge amounts.
4.2 Commission
- Ghar Se deducts a commission from each completed trip fare. The commission rate is disclosed to Drivers at the time of registration and may be updated with prior notice.
- Commission is calculated on the total fare amount before taxes.
- Tolls, parking fees, or other incidental charges paid by the driver are reimbursed separately and are not subject to commission.
5. Weekly Payout Terms
- Settlement Period: Driver earnings are settled on a weekly basis. The payout cycle runs from Monday to Sunday, with payments processed on the following Wednesday.
- Minimum Payout: The minimum payout amount is Rs. 1,000. Earnings below this threshold are carried forward to the next cycle.
- Payment Method: Payouts are made via bank transfer to the Driver's registered bank account.
- Earnings Statement: Drivers can access detailed earnings statements through the Driver app, including trip-by-trip breakdowns.
- Tax Deduction: Applicable taxes (including withholding tax) will be deducted at source as required by Pakistani tax laws.
- Adjustments: Any adjustments for disputes, chargebacks, or corrections will be reflected in the next payout cycle.
6. Driver Code of Conduct
Drivers must adhere to the following code of conduct at all times:
- Provide professional, courteous, and safe service to all passengers.
- Accept all ride requests without discrimination based on gender, race, religion, ethnicity, or destination.
- Follow the GPS navigation route provided by the app unless the passenger requests an alternative route.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic vehicle interior at all times.
- Do not smoke, vape, or consume food in the vehicle while a passenger is present.
- Do not use mobile phones for calls, messaging, or browsing while driving. Use hands-free devices only if absolutely necessary.
- Do not solicit cash payments or private rides outside the platform.
- Do not share passenger personal information with third parties.
- Do not engage in fraudulent activities such as fake trips, GPS spoofing, or fare manipulation.
- Wear neat and presentable attire. Ghar Se branded apparel is preferred.
- Assist passengers with luggage and ensure a safe entry and exit from the vehicle.
- Report any accidents, incidents, or safety concerns to Ghar Se immediately.
7. Safety and Insurance
7.1 Safety Requirements
- Drivers must ensure all passengers wear seat belts before starting the trip.
- Drivers must not operate the vehicle under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any intoxicating substances.
- Drivers must comply with all traffic laws, speed limits, and road safety regulations at all times.
- Drivers must not carry more passengers than the vehicle's registered seating capacity.
- In case of an emergency, drivers should contact emergency services immediately and then notify Ghar Se support.
7.2 Insurance
- Ghar Se provides accident insurance coverage for Drivers while they are actively engaged in a trip (from acceptance to completion).
- The insurance covers accidental death, permanent disability, and medical expenses as per the policy terms provided to Drivers upon registration.
- Drivers are encouraged to maintain their own comprehensive vehicle insurance.
- Ghar Se is not liable for damages, injuries, or losses not covered by the provided insurance.
8. Suspension and Termination Policy
Ghar Se reserves the right to suspend or terminate a Driver's account under the following circumstances:
- Immediate Termination: Fraud, violence, harassment, driving under the influence, criminal activity, or any act that endangers passenger safety.
- Suspension with Notice: Low ratings (below 4.0), repeated customer complaints, expired documents, vehicle not meeting standards, or policy violations.
- Appeal Process: Suspended Drivers may appeal by contacting Driver support within 7 days. Appeals will be reviewed within 5 business days.
- Reactivation: Suspended accounts may be reactivated after the issue is resolved, subject to Ghar Se's sole discretion.
- Final Settlement: Upon termination, any outstanding earnings will be released after a 30-day holding period to cover potential disputes or chargebacks.
9. Driver Support
- Ghar Se provides 24/7 Driver support through the Driver app, phone, and email.

- Drivers have access to a Driver dashboard showing trip history, earnings, ratings, and performance metrics.
- Ghar Se offers training and onboarding sessions for new Drivers.
10. Modifications
Ghar Se reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time. Drivers will be notified of material changes via the Driver app or email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified policy.
